Used with the plough or when mulch sowing, the D9 offers a high level of flexibility as an introduction to AMAZONE seed drill range, especially for small and medium-sized farms. Hitch up, fill with seed, drive off and sow. It is characterised by its sturdy design and very precise, mechanical seed metering. It also offers the option of mounting on a rotary harrow or rotary cultivator along with a packer roller using the "Liftpack" system for simultaneous seedbed preparation in just one pass.

Whether large or small, many farms are facing challenges such as climate change, rising costs of consumables such as seed, fertiliser and fuel, as well as the flexibility now demanded for catch crop sowing.

With the right seed drill, it is much easier to master these challenges reliably in order to produce good, high-quality food: the AMAZONE D9 mounted seed drill offers optimised sowing, especially for small and medium-sized farms.

The seed is metered mechanically from the hopper and reliably placed at the correct depth by the coulter system - every time, and under any conditions. The seedbed can, as an option, be preprepared via an up-front rotary harrow or rotary cultivator, including reconsolidation with a following roller in the same pass. High quality and AMAZONE precision, yet at a good price.

AMAZONE has been researching and developing seeding systems for 75 years. The D9 mounted conventional seed drill is the reliable seed drill that has also been developed to handle future tasks. The D9 concept

Reliability and flexibility combined for all conditions

• Seed hopper with a capacity of up to 1,380 litres, with the mechanically-driven Vario-gearbox for reliable seed metering
• Tool-free coupling of KE, KG, or KX soil tillage machines, including various different rollers using the "Liftpack" system
• Access steps and loading board for safe filling of the seed hopper
• Universal RoTeC single disc coulter with the Control depth control and cleaning disc for both sowing after the plough or mulch sowing or with WS Suffolk coulters for conventional sowing
• Exact harrow or drag tine harrow for neat covering over of the seed furrow

Cataya Special EcoLine

With the Cataya Special EcoLine, AMAZONE offers a cost-effective machine especially for small and medium-sized farms. With a 650 litre seed hopper, 3 m working width, 12.5 cm row spacing and a working speed of up to 10 km/h, the Cataya Special EcoLine is ideally suited for flexible sowing on small areas and across a wide range of crops.

It offers a mechanical metering drive for the seed via a star wheel, reliable maintenance of the working depth via the RoTeC single disc coulter and optimum coverage of the seed furrow by the Exact harrow. 

A rotary harrow, rotary cultivator or the CombiDisc, including rollers, can be used for soil tillage. That is longevity, that is high efficiency, that is AMAZONE.
