DUO rakes feature a patented raking height adjustment system. This coupled hydraulic and mechanical system ensures that the rake is accurately positioned for the task at hand. The advantage of the hydraulic system, which can lift the rotor as high as 49 cm (1’6”), it that it prevents the machine from interfering with a completed windrow during headland turns. Additionally, the lift system enables safe travel on public roads. With the hydraulic cylinder, the hitch can be lowered for transport to keep the rake in a horizontal position.

Hitching system

The two-point hitch gives the hay rake a wide turning angle, making the machine stable and maneuverable. The foldable support leg simplifies the hitching operation as it offers stepless adjustment of hitch height. The hay rake may be optionally equipped with a second support wheel, which additionally stabilizes the machine during turns and working on slopes.

KENNFIXX hydraulic handles

KENNFIXX hydraulic handles are included as standard. They make it easier to connect the hay rake’s hydraulic couplers to the tractor’s valve block. When the rake is disconnected, its hydraulic hoses are secured in dedicated holders to protect the couplings from dirt. The use of two different colors makes it easier for the operator to distinguish between hoses.

Gearbox

The angular gearbox, which transfers power to the rear rotor, is quiet, durable and low-maintenance. The machine’s turning angle is unrestricted here, which makes it possible to make tight turns.

Rotor gearbox

The rotor gearbox is quiet, durable, and low-maintenance. In DUO 740, the tine arm connecting rods are replaceable, which simplifies the repair process as there is no need for labor-intensive disassembly of the entire gearbox.

Tines

The tine arms have four pairs of durable spring-loaded tines. They feature an improved shape, which helps pick up the crop and move it into place on the windrow with greater precision. In addition, the outmost spring-loaded tine is protected against being dropped and lost in case it gets damaged midwork

The tine arms are easily and quickly attached with two pins. The hay rake frame has holders for storing the tine arms, which means they are safely secured in place during transport.

Hydraulic control of rear rotor

The control panel can be used to hydraulically adjust the position of the rear rotor and to lower or raise the swath curtain. It is an easy and fast solution which allows the operator to form one or two windrows
